Privacy statements for Calaym (for Android)

Permission

Storage: modify/delete USB storage contents,
Storage: read/write external storage
Storage: read/write internal storage
Storage: read/write media storage,
Access superuser

This permissions are required to access file storage, e.g. to delete songs, create a .nomedia file in the music folder. (Support for multiple Android Versions!)

Phone calls: Read phone status and ID

This permission is required to detect incoming/outgoing calls (e.g. to pause playback) and various phone informations. None of this data is not stored or disclosed in any way.

This permission is required to keep the player background service and playback alive, and to not being muted by the system. (Support for multiple Android Versions!)

Hardware controls: control vibrator

Required to PREVENT vibration when setting/updating notification information.

Last.fm Scrobbler / Simple Last.fm Scrobbler

By enabling this service, a intent with information about the current music and state is broadcasted by the App. This information can be used by other android programs (Apps).

Last played songs

This feature is off by default. When enabling this feature, Calaym remembers played music files (including timestamp). This information is stored on your phone. When you deactivate this feature, this information is cleared, and deleted from your phone.

Other interfaces

Calaym has interfaces to share information about current music and state, and to interact with the software. These interfaces can be used by other android programs (Apps).

Data collection and sharing

Any data is collected for runtime and available to other apps on the device and especially for Last.fm and compatible apps. Calaym itself does not share or transmitted data anywhere else.
